SEOUL -- Singer CL, a former 2NE1 member, has expressed excitement through a social media post about her solo project album "In The Name of Love" to be released on December 4.

"After a long time, I am so excited and anticipating the thought that I will be able to share the memories, times and emotions which I've personally experienced," the 28-year-old wrote on her Instagram in Korean on Monday. "I was happy to live as CL, a person who could share pieces of me with you, and the love which you shared have filled me up again," CL said.

The singer's Instagram post garnered 351,000 likes and some 8,300 comments from fans in less than five hours. "I love you queen! Thank you for staying strong," said "jisoowings", an Instagram user. Another user "pedroetals" said: "im so happy for you!!!!!! you’ve been so strong and im proud of that! thank u."

CL left YG Entertainment in November, 10 years after she stepped into South Korea's music scene as a member of 2NE1, a four-member girl band that became defunct in 2016. After releasing "Lifted", a single, in the United States in August 2016, she pursued her acting career in the 2018 Hollywood film "Mile 22" as a supporting actress.
