SEOUL -- Suga was highlighted in a three-minute-long video for BTS' comeback trailer, showing intense rap and colorful gestures in a dramatic atmosphere created through maximized visual effects such as motion control cameras and high-speed cameras.
It is a rock-based emotional hip-hop genre song and the lyrics contain the burden and fear of success:
"I wanna be a rap star,
I wanna be the top,
I wanna be a rockstar,
I want it all mine,
I wanna be rich,
I wanna be the king,
I wanna go win,
I wanna be…"
Suga fired a volley of rap chorus verses in the intro of "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 'Interlude : Shadow'" comeback trailer film released on Friday. The stunning YouTube video mesmerized some 10 million fans across the globe in less than 11 hours.
In the sneak peek preview of "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7" scheduled for release on February 21, Suga poured out rap verses talking about an autobiographical story about the light and shadow that follows stardom.
In line with "MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA", the prequel of the upcoming album released in April last year, the band continues to focus on persona, an aspect of a person's character that is perceived by others.
Many fans predict that BTS will shift its focus more to the psychological side of people's characters as "SHADOW" and "EGO", psychological terms stated by Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology, are the titles of comeback trailers.
