SEOUL -- In an effort to broaden the spectrum of entertainment content featuring its artists, the culture and content service wing of SM Entertainment has forged content supply deals with Wavve, a domestic over-the-top video-on-demand service, and South Korea's web service giant Naver.

SM C&C Studio said in a statement on Monday that the company has signed an agreement to provide two exclusive content programs featuring top idols. The company also signed a deal to provide fan-based content for Naver's V Live, a video-sharing social media.

South Korean entertainment agencies have worked with various entertainment platform operators to distribute content and reach out to global fans. In 2018, K-pop band BTS released "Burn the Stage: The Movie," a documentary film through YouTube Premium, the paid subscription service of video-sharing social media YouTube.

Big Hit Entertainment, BTS' agency, has created WeVerse, a smartphone social media app, in June last year for global fans. Through WeVerse, fans and BTS members communicate by creating and sharing user-generated content including trendy posts and self-composed songs.
