SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics has hinted at a new smartphone through a teaser video included in an invitation for the company's online showcase.
Samsung unveiled the teaser video showing the silhouette of a smartphone on September 14. The teaser video is an invitation for Samsung fans who wish to participate in the company's "Unpacked" unveiling event, which will be broadcast live on September 23.
Although Samsung has not released details, online leaked information experts believe the upcoming device would be a more affordable variant of the Galaxy S20 smartphone released in South Korea in March this year.
In 2017, Samsung released Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition), a variant model of Galaxy Note 7 released in 2016. Note 7 went up in flames globally in September 2016, just a few weeks after its release due to faulty batteries Note FE was created using parts of Note 7.
