Korea's jobless rate rises in February

South Korea's jobless rate reached 4 percent in February, up 0.6 percentage point from the previous month, the country's statistics office reported on March 13.

The figure marks the highest since February last year when it stood at 4.2 percent.

The jobless rate among young people amounted to 9.1 percent, said the report of Statistics Korea.

Job creation also slowed last month, the report said, indicating that the job market conditions will remain cloudy.
