Temperatures plunge to minus 3.1 degrees Celsius in Seoul

Temperatures plunged below zero in most parts of the country Thursday morning, weatherman said. The mercury plummeted to minus 3.1 degrees Celsius in Seoul; minus 8.6 degrees in Daegwallyeong; minus 2.8 degrees in Chuncheon; minus 1.9 degrees in Daejeon; minus 2.6 degrees in Gwangju; and minus 1.1 degrees in Daegu, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).

Tomorrow, lows will be minus 1 degree in Seoul, minus 4 degrees in Chuncheon, 3 degrees both in Gwangju and Busan, and 8 degrees in Jeju Island, whereas highs will reach 10 degrees in Seoul, 8 degrees in Chuncheon, 12 degrees both in Gwangju and Busan, and 13 degrees in Jeju Island, the KMA said.

Weathermen forecast that temperatures will rise back to their seasonal averages around Sunday.
