South Korea's hit web-cartoons (webtoons) will be dramatized by a film studio involved in the production of hit dramas such as "Cheese in the Trap" that showed the real life of college students and caused a sensation across China, according to webtoon publisher Lezhin entertainment.

Lezhin said its webtoons "Something About Us" and "I See Your Money" would be dramatized by EIGHT WORKS.  "Something About Us" has recorded an accumulated view of 100 million, becoming the most famous content serviced by Lezhin Comics. "I See Your Money" has recorded more than 15 million views in the past 18 months.

EIGHT WORKS had turned webtoons such as "Cheese in the Trap" and "Quiz of God" into hit dramas. "We are happy to work with Lezhin, the publisher of many fascinating contents. EIGHT WORKS will put every effort in creating scenes close to its original webtoons," said EIGHT WORKS CEO Kim Won-ju.

Lezhin CEO Han Hee-sung promised to step up the dramatization of webtoon contents. "We are looking at various ways to recreate our original webtoon contents."
