Unlike rivals such as Apple and LG  which have added special parts or enhanced post-processing software to boost the listening experience of users, Samsung has been reluctant to follow suit as one of the world's largest smartphone makers.

A Vietnamese IT specialist media, "Techrum", unveiled leaked images of special bundle earphones for Samsung's new flagship, S8. The earphones purported to be made by an Austrian audio company AKG well known for its high-end audio products including specially-tuned earphones and headphones.

An individual plastic package containing the earphones shown in a separate image has a printing that reads "MADE IN VIETNAM", suggesting it could be leaked from a Samsung OEM factory in Vietnam.

This may indicate that Samsung is aware of the global trend and is trying to boost audio capabilities of its smartphones. Unfortunately, it is not known whether S8 will feature DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), a small processing chipset which converts digital signals to analog to minimize the loss of signals during the conversion phase.

The chipset is preferred by many audio enthusiasts as it greatly reduces latency. LG received global attention last year with G5 which included a high-end DAC and received positive feedbacks from critics and audio fans.

DAC has settled as one of LG's key identity as the company included it in the lineup of its new smartphones including G6.  Apple is also popular for its great audio features used for its iPhones and iPads.
