SEOUL, Feb. 05 (Aju News) -- To provide foreign visitors with an easy access to Olympic venues, South Korea has released "GO Pyeongchang", a smartphone app which provides integrated mobility services.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement Monday that "GO Pyeongchang" provides perfect mobility services by utilizing every resource including integrated services with other apps such as navigation apps, taxi-hailing apps and bus information apps.

The app will also divert traffic into different routes to prevent traffic jams in the eastern ski resort of Pyeongchang, the main Olympic venue.  Previously, visitors to Pyeongchang had to go through a hassle of using different kinds of apps, switching back and forth to find right information.

"GO Pyeongchang" presents an optimized route using the right form of transportation to the destination just by following simple steps or scanning QR codes printed on tickets, the ministry said.

The app supports four languages -- Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese. A PC version will be available at kiosks at the Olympics venues to provide navigation services for the disabled and visitors without smartphones.
