SEOUL, Feb. 13 (Aju News) -- "DNA", the global hit song of South Korea's popular group BTS, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The boys previously earned its first gold certification with the remix of "MIC DROP" earlier this month.
Big Hit Entertainment, the seven-member group's agency, said Tuesday that the American Association has certified "DNA" as a gold digital single. It certifies songs and albums which are sold more than 500,000 copies.
BTS is the first K-pop group to receive a gold-certified track while rapper PSY became the first South Korean artist with a gold-certified song with his hit song "Gangnam Style" in 2012.
