SEOUL -- Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo apologized for canceling his trip South Korea due to his tight schedule. The 33-year-old was to visit Seoul next week to promote SIXPAD, a muscle training gear and meet a promising youth footballer.

In a statement released Friday by KOREA TECH, a South Korean vendor for SIXPAD, Ronaldo expressed sorry for not being able to visit South Korea, saying he wishes to meet fans as soon as possible.

The football hero left Spain's Real Madrid Club de Futbol this month to play for Italian league's Juventus. Ronaldo said it was a hard decision to cancel the visit because he was experiencing a major change in his life.
