SEOUL -- Kia Motors, an affiliate of South Korea's Hyundai auto group, released a set of teaser images showing silhouettes of the revamped model of "SOUL", a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) better known as a "box-shaped car", arousing the curiosity of consumers worldwide.

The teasers, released by Kia Motors America (KMA), included a rendered image partially showing the car's front grill and another image showing taillights. The actual model will be showcased at LA Auto Show on November 28.

Soul has gained popularity from young consumers in the North American market since 2009 for its affordable cost and sturdiness. In 2017, some 115,000 Souls were sold in North America and became the best-selling subcompact car of the year, according to CarSaleBase, a Netherlands-based automotive specialist.

Fans expressed anticipation and curiosity through social media. "So can’t wait to see It" American user Travis Cyprien commented on KMA's Facebook page. Joe Jordan, another Facebook user, wrote: "Omg exciting!!"
