SEOUL -- Ryeowook, a 31-year-old member of K-pop band Super Junior, put off the release of his second solo EP titled "Drunk on Love" due to influenza, his agency said Monday. He was to unveil his new album on Tuesday.

Label SJ said Ryeowook's new album with seven tracks would be released on January 2. The main song titled "I'm Not Over You" was inspired by veteran singer Kim Gun-mo's 2005 song "The Moon of Seoul". Ryeowook had to play Kim's song frequently during his service in the military band. He was discharged in July after a mandatory service.

The singer visited a hospital in Seoul for high fever on Monday when he came back after completing his performance at a music festival in Bangkok. The diagnosis showed that he has been infected with the type A influenza virus that requires isolation and stabilization, his agency said.
