SEOUL -- Yanolja, a South Korean online room-finding app, has secured about $180 million from two foreign investors and forged a strategic partnership with Booking Holdings, the world's leader in online travel.

Yanolja said Tuesday that the investment from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and Booking Holdings would be used for preemptive technology development and market expansion. Yanolja, which provides app-based accommodation information and travel content, has tried to develop an innovative global platform.

Yanolja has seen dramatic growth in its business with its accumulated reservation surpassing 20 million. It plans to strengthen sales of accommodation facilities through a system link with Booking Holdings, which owns and operates travel fare aggregators and metasearch engines.
