South Korean online communities were engulfed in excitement on Sunday after photographs uploaded onto social media showed the 23-year-old actor wearing his Spider-Man costume from his latest movie posing with children at the pediatric ward of Seoul National University Hospital.
Online users expressed wonder and respect. "I really respect this guy. He knows how to promote his film in style," said "Funnynator", a user from South Korea's online community Clien. Another user "Yong" said: "Someone could see his action as an advertisement for his film but I wish to applaud him for this one."
The Hollywood superhero film was based on Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The film opened in South Korea on July 1.
