SEOUL -- SuperM, an all-star seven-member band comprised of prominent male artists from SM Entertainment, will make its debut in the United States through a Hollywood showcase event in October.

According to the unit band's official website on Wednesday, SuperM will perform at Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood on October 5. Tickets are free. SM head Lee Soo-man has introduced SuperM as "the Avengers of K-pop". American music label Capitol Records will support with marketing, promotion and publicity.

The band includes Baekhyun and Kai of EXO, SHINEE's Taemin, NCT's Taeyong and Mark, and WayV members Lucas and Ten.

The global K-pop scene is heavily influenced by BTS, a seven-member band with an estimated 150 million active fans worldwide, and Black Pink, a four-member girl band which nested in YG Entertainment. Comparatively, SM's global recognition was not so big.
