SEOUL -- Hyukoh, an indie band that has captured the hearts of young fans in South Korea with sympathetic and realistic lyrics, will return to the music scene with a new album in late January.

DooRooDooRoo Artist Company, the for-men band's agency, said in a statement on Friday that Hyukoh would release "through love" on January 30. The new album will contain six songs including title songs "Hey Sun" and "New Born."

This is the first time for the band to name its album using only words. Hyukoh's previous albums were titled using numbers "20," "22," and "23." Hyukoh's last album "How to find true love and happiness" was named using both numbers and words.

After releasing its album, Hyukoh will embark on a four-month global tour on February 8. The concert tour will kick off at Seoul to cover cities in the United States, Europe and Asia

Hyukoh debuted in 2014 and became famous after appearing in the Yeongdong Expressway Music Festival episode of South Korea's favorite TV show, Infinity Challenge, in 2015. After the show, the band woke up to find itself suddenly becoming a big star. The band gained international attention when it performed at the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival", one of the largest music festivals held in the U.S., in April last year.

The secret behind the band's explosive popularity is the wide spectrum of music ranging from funk, new wave, pop and rock. Fans also feel sympathetic for the band's songs that depict stories of ordinary people in love or stories about feelings that change day by day.
