LG Electronics unveils multi-purpose screen to provides all-in-one solutions

SEOUL -- LG Electronics unveiled a multi-purpose screen that provides all-in-one solutions needed at worksites or at home. It is installed with cameras, microphones, speakers, and electronic blackboards on ultra-high definition resolution screens. Users can easily and quickly connect their laptops wirelessly to compatible digital signage products.

LG Electronics said the multi-purpose screen runs on its own software platform and Microsoft's embedded operating system Windows 10 IoT is built-in, allowing consumers familiar with Windows-based PCs to use it. Using "in-cell touch" technology, the sense of touch and response speed are excellent.

"By providing our customers with new ways to interact and get things done, we hope they will be able to better balance and enjoy work and life," LG's information display business unit head Paik Ki-mun said in a statement on October 19.

Two models are available. A 55-inch 4K UHD video conferencing display is suitable for a variety of workplace environments. A 43-inch 4K UHD touchscreen is designed with a movable stand to accommodate diverse usage scenarios across all types of businesses settings.

Shortcuts can be used to effortlessly install popular video conferencing and collaboration apps to instantly enhance productivity. The high-gain microphone is effective in clearly capturing voices up to six meters away with minimal background noise while the camera automatically tracks and focuses on the individual speaking.
