SEOUL -- LG Electronics has created a large light-emitting diode (LED) wall each at two studios run by the home shopping unit of South Korea's CJ Group. The LED wall implements bright and clear image quality in studios with numerous filming lights, and Studio operators do not have to create a background set for every shoot.

A total of 576 planar and curved LED signage cabinets were attached in a modular method to surround the walls of two CJ Onstyle studios that cover a combined area of 150 square meters, LG Electronics said, adding that a three-dimensional screen without any heterogeneity has an effect comparable to the actual background set.

The modular method enables the indefinite expansion of the screen by attaching cabinets together. For easy maintenance, LED modules can be detached from the front of the screen. The wall's thickness is 41 millimeters. Not only can it be installed in a curved shape, but it is also possible to reduce the heterogeneity of the corners.

LG Electronics said that a customized LED wall can be installed to meet the needs of customers. "We will continue to lead the commercial display market with a wide lineup that responds to various business demands," LG's information display business head Paik Ki-mun said in a statement on March 2.
