SEOUL -- Jimin, a member of BTS, has rolled out his first solo album titled "FACE." The 27-year-old, who expressed his feelings during the COVID-19 pandemic through the album, will interact with global fans through "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," a popular American talk show for two days starting on March 24.

"As the album contains the meaning of facing my true self, I tried to showcase my honest feelings and features that I have never shown anywhere else," Jimin said in a YouTube video after the release of the album. The artist became the fourth member who rolled out a solo album, after J-Hope, Jin, and RM.

Jimin will perform the album's title song "Like Crazy" on The Tonight Show and share his thoughts with American comedian Jimmy Fallon. The music video for Like Crazy garnered more than 2.7 million views on YouTube less than 3 hours after its release. The dance song featuring melodic rhythms is based on the concept of the 2011 romantic drama film "Like Crazy."

Although BTS is taking a hiatus after its agency, Jimin has consistently presented his talents. He collaborated with BIGBANG member Taeyang for "VIBE," a song with more than 92 million views on YouTube. Jimin is also serving as the global ambassador of Christian Dior, a France-based high-end luxury fashion brand known as Dior.

Jimin is required to fulfill his compulsory military service in South Korea which is technically at war with North Korea. In South Korea, all able-bodied males who are 18 and older must do their mandatory military service for at least 18 months unless they have a valid reason for exemption. Jin, the eldest member of BTS, started his service in December 2022. J-Hope, the group's main dancer, would be the second member to join the military.
